The Beck Isle museum is housed in a splendid Regency stone building.

The handsome structure houses exhibitions illustrating the life and times of domestic and social life of the area over the past few hundred years.

Registration plate LHN 860 of an old UNITED coach bus from times gone bye! Its headed 'AIDENSFIELD' as used in the ITV TV series 'Heartbeat'.

 

Locomotive 75029 was built in the 50's and scrapped in the 60's! BUT now rescued and operated into Pickering by the fantastic North Yorkshire Moors Heritage Railway! ....

... and 63395 was built considerably earlier, nearer the roaring 20's!
